NikeWomen.com is proud to present the Los Angeles Sparks "Team of the Week." The Sparks have a very proud basketball tradition within the Los Angeles area and want to recognize the WNBA players of tomorrow.

Every Friday, from November 28, 2008 through February 6, 2009, the Sparks with the help of local media members will select a local girl's varsity basketball team as the "Team of the Week."

The team that exemplified leadership, sportsmanship and teamwork during the week will be honored by the Sparks and NikeWomen.com.

This package will give the entire team the opportunity to watch women’s basketball at the highest level and to talk with Sparks players and coaches. The winning team will be announced on the Sparks website and in a press release to be sent to local media and to the winning high school.

Each Team of the Week will also be in the running to become the Los Angeles Sparks Team of the Year presented by NikeWomen.com.
